Back to the Track and Back to School…

I sent two of my kiddos off to school on Wednesday! Yay! If only I were sending the twins instead of my older, which aren’t as difficult;) Oh well I will have one with the little ones at home. Our group hit up the track again on Thursday, and taking a few weeks off of sprints and bleachers has kicked my butt. I love finding good workouts on pinterest to try out, so we did this one:

It was really good, and I was definitely sweating by the end. A full lap around the track is pretty difficult. So here is how I try to do it.

First 100m is the slowest, I would say 60% comfort zone. Second 100m at 70%, third at 80%, and the last 100m go all out at 90% to 100%. My first full lap I went out too fast and was dying by the end. It didn’t help that it was 80 degrees outside.

After we finished up the workout we hit the bleachers to run partner sets, I will post a workout later. There is nothing better than running bleachers for a booty workout! my legs and butt are so sore today! Add in some good conversation with awesome ladies and it makes a great day:)

RZR Riding the last weekend of summer:(

I wasn’t joking when I said we were trying to squeeze in as many fun things as possible! Last Friday, we headed up to the Big Horns, and took our RZR up to do some trail riding. I am not a thrill seeking gal, so a nice little trail ride is right up my alley:

Yes my son is wearing Diego underwear that he has had since he was 4, haha. My kids are so skinny. I guess I should get rid of those! The kids seriously could have played there all day, so we will definitely be hitting up that spot again before winter comes.
Our ward in our church was up there for a campout, but since the cabins were not available to sleep in I was not tent camping again! Twins+tentcamping=no beuno! So we just went up for the evening, and enjoyed seeing all of our church friends for a while and headed home. That is my kind of camping:)
The next day I got up to do my usual Saturday morning run with this cute girl:

We ran 7 miles at a decent pace since Tonya is coming off of an injury. I really enjoy running with someone else it makes the time go by so much quicker! Talking the whole time also helps build up my lung capacity.

Fave move Friday

I’m a couple of days late posting this but every Friday I would like to post one of my favorite workout moves. When I started this blog, it was more of a place for me to journal all of my workouts and moves that I like. I hope to create different pages based on muscle group. This can get kinda of tricky however because a lot of the moves I do target more than one muscle group. I’ll figure it out somehow:)

First up Spider push-up. I made my husband demonstrate because let’s be honest he looks better doing it than me! I was getting pretty good at these, and then I lost a lot of my upper body strength. I will get it back!:

This move works Arms and Core.

Next Knee Tuck on Stability Ball:

This works your lower abs, but it also works your upper body a bit. If you want more of an upper body workout with this move, add in a push-up between reps!

Lastly Ball Pass:

This is also mainly a core move, but I tend to feel it in my legs and hips as well!
